Raymond Mazza works in 14K and 18K gold with precious and semi precious stones accented by diamonds and pearls, across collections including Biltmore, Venetian, Del Mare, Primavera and Florentine. What sets the work apart is upstream of the design: the owners hand pick the colored stones themselves and keep model makers on staff, so the blue in an aquamarine piece or the fire in an opal is chosen by a person with something at stake rather than bought to a spec sheet. Put two similar rings side by side and the difference in the stone is usually visible before the difference in the mounting is. The workshop sits in Brightwaters, roughly half an hour down the road from our store, and the company is an American Gem Society partner.
