About Shy Creation

Shy Creation is a family design team, and the split between them is what makes the product what it is. Shy Dayan started the company more than twenty-five years ago around exceptional diamonds and gemstones and the craftsmanship to set them properly. His sister Kathy joined later and brought something he did not have, a Los Angeles fashion sensibility, and by his own account she reinvented the business. Their brother David designs alongside them.

The Kate collection came out of that partnership and remains the line people recognize. The rest of the range runs through Eden, Bailey, Jackie, Stella and Aleera, plus the Shy ICON zodiac pieces, Lumeria, the Corelli flex-coil designs and Amor Hearts.

What they make is fine jewelry that behaves like fashion jewelry. Real diamonds, including fancy shapes, and colored gemstones, in designs light enough and priced sensibly enough to be worn on an ordinary Wednesday rather than kept for occasions. That is a genuinely difficult thing to pull off, and it is why this case gets browsed by people who came in for something else.

The company is a certified member of the Responsible Jewellery Council and the American Gem Society, which are independent bodies with real standards rather than logos anyone can use.
