About Capucine De Wulf
Learn About the brand
Capucine De Wulf was named after the nasturtium, and she has spent a career designing things that feel like they grew rather than were manufactured. Born in Paris to a French father and a Texan mother, she co-founded the tableware house Juliska with her husband David Gooding in 2001, and the jewelry followed as its sister brand, sketched from her own travels and turned into pieces meant to carry something.
Nothing here is stamped out. Every design is sculpted in nickel-free brass using lost-wax casting, a technique older than almost anything else in a jewelry case, then hand-dipped in 18K gold and finished with an anti-tarnish polish. Gemstones, wood, mother of pearl and shell are chosen by hand, cut, set and polished one at a time. The nickel-free brass matters more than it sounds: it means these are pieces that people with sensitive skin can actually wear every day.
The collections read like a set of talismans. Berry, Gaia, Cleopatra, Earth Goddess, Equestrian and Scarab each carry their own symbolism, which is the point. Capucine describes the aim simply, as jewelry that makes a woman feel and look fabulous, guided by a house philosophy of living life through a love filter.
Come see the collection in our Saint James showroom, where you can try on the weight and the finish in person. Photographs do not quite capture how these pieces sit.
